Residential Affairs Council

The mighty sojourn, MBA in all its veracity is incomplete without the Hostel life. Some of the best of bonds, the best of times and the best of gossips are shared within. But have we ever thought, that if there was no one running this whole mechanism how would life at any Hostel be. Well, at IMI, we have the Residential Affairs Council which not only makes sure we have our immense share of fun, but also make our lives in hostel a little simpler.

The RAC, as it is popularly known, does in fact engage in some serious Management. This club helps address students’ grievances and voice them to the Management. Their tireless endeavors of arranging special meals for festivals, various celebrations and also frequently revising the Menu Card in the regular course is what keeps us the students of IMI up and running, ‘cause let’s face it, a healthy mind not only resides in a healthy body, but in a body that constantly receives delicious and nutritious food.

Various issues such as inconsistent quality of food, Geyser connection problems, WI-FI connectivity or speed issues, safety concerns and sanitation and hygiene issues, all the same have been single handedly and brilliantly handled by this Club. They have put in their best foot forward to make that ‘away-from-home’ feeling into an amazing Feel-at-home.

Responsibilities of the team:

• To take care of the functioning of mess: Deciding monthly menu, estimation of food quantity to be prepared, ensuring hygiene measures are in place and deciding quality of brands to be kept in the mess.
• Creating transport schedules, conducting surveys among the batch to know their issues and concerns
• Ensuring that students enjoy the all the facilities provided in the hostels
• Photography competition – This will be an online event where the students will be putting up creative photographs of IMI campus and will be sharing this on their timeline. Person with the maximum likes will be given a winning certificate. Timeline: Within a month of arrival of the new batch.
